2022-2023 Board of Directors Voting

Attention Members,

Voting for the SFPE New England 2022-2023 Board of Directors and Scholarship Committee is now open, and will remain open until 5pm next Wednesday, June 29. Members can click the link below to vote. The website mechanism for voting is the "Registration" functionality of a typical chapter meeting, so please start the process by clicking the 'Register' button.

2022-2023 Board of Directors Voting

Elections will be split into two sections - returning board members & new board members.

Returning Board Member applicants for the 2022/2023 chapter year are as follows:

Board of Directors - Director Applicants

(1) Kelly Knopp, P.E. - Arup

Kelly has a background in fire protection and chemical engineering and holds her P.E. in fire protection.  Kelly has worked as a code consultant/fire engineer for 4 years at C3 and Arup.  She also worked at FM Global for 3 years in the material approvals group.

(2) Dylan Martel, P.E. - Jensen Hughes

Dylan presently works as a Manager and Fire Protection Engineer at Jensen Hughes. He has been a member of the SFPE-NE Chapter since 2017 and is hoping to join the Board of Directors to make an impact on our local fire protection community.

(3) Alex Riley, P.E. - WB Engineering

Alex is a Code Consultant at WB Engineers in Boston, MA. He just finished teaching his first Fire Science class at Massasoit Community College and is a call fire fighter in Northbridge, MA. Alex previously served as the President of the SFPE WPI student chapter. While on the board, he would like to help grow the community and bring together all aspects of our discipline. From fire fighters, sprinkler designers, code consultants, to AHJs, each one of us play an important role in making the world a safer place.

(4) Reza Ziazi - Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI)

Reza is a post-doctoral fellow in Fire Protection Engineering Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) working as project manager on several projects including fire investigation, wildland fire behavior particularly on the multi-scale physics of the interactions between fire, wind, and vegetation, and facade fires. Prior to joining WPI, Reza was a lead technical engineer at Alden Research Laboratories. He received
his PhD from Oregon State University in mechanical engineering and his masters degree from Oklahoma State university in mechanical engineering.
