January Webinar - Screening of Six Locked Doors and Q&A Session

Welcome to SFPE New England's January webinar. Due to COVID-19, we are sadly unable to meet in person like we have for so many years. Instead we will be able to learn about new and exciting topics from the safety of our socially and physically distant computers. We are excited to present opportunities for New England's fire protection industry to get together and stay current on new topics.

The January webinar will include a screening of the Six Locked Doors, which explores the Cocoanut Grove nightclub fire in Boston in 1942. Through interviews with survivors who have never before spoken on camera and an extensive archive collection of photos, and unreleased footage the film explores how corruption, greed and a former gangster-run speakeasy led to an unimaginable tragedy. Director/Producer Zachary Graves-Miller will be in attendance for a Question & Answer Session following the viewing.

The next SFPE NEC webinar will be on February 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Mackenzie Hill from ARUP will present on the topic Creating Fire Safety Resilience – Collaboration and specialized design considerations will provide resilience for buildings and cities as they prepare for other fire events impacting life safety.

We wish you a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year in 2021!
