Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is a law enforcement
organization within the United States Department of Treasury with unique
responsibilities dedicated to reducing violent crime, collecting revenue,
and protecting the public. ATF enforces the Federal laws and regulations
relating to alcohol, tobacco, firearms, explosives and arson by working
directly and in cooperation with others.

Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition
The Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition was formed in 1996 in response to the
tremendous need to inform the public about the life-saving value of home
fire sprinkler protection. The HFSC has developed educational material
with details about automatic home fire sprinkler systems, how they work,
why they provide affordable protection and answers to common myths and
misconceptions about their operation. These materials are available upon
request.

National
Association of Fire Equipment Distributors
The National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED) was established
in 1963 in an effort to improve the professional, technical, and business
competence within the fire equipment distribution industry. As a professional
association of individual companies, NAFED has developed products and
services that are vital to its members as well as to the industry as a
whole. This commitment has resulted in over one thousand companies currently
joining to form a united NAFED, with members from the United States, Canada,
and all over the world.
National Fire Protection Association
This site contains the latest information about the non-profit National
Fire Protection Association (NFPA), publishers of the National Electrical
CodeŽ, the Life Safety CodeŽ, the Fire Prevention CodeT, the National
Fuel Gas CodeŽ, and the National Fire Alarm CodeŽ. The mission of NFPA,
which was organized in 1896, is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire

This site contains information on fire sprinklers (commercial and residential)
with over 60 free articles, case studies, and other publications. Several
company directories and sprinkler ordinances from around the country are
also listed. Specific sprinkler specification listings and manufacturers
are available as well as an online catalog for products (such as fire
protection handbooks, inspection forms, etc..) You can also register for
upcoming seminars (AIA and NICET certified).

of Fire Protection Engineers
The Society of Fire Protection Engineers was established in 1950 and incorporated
as an independent organization in 1971. It is the professional society
representing those practicing the field of fire protection engineering.
The Society has approximately 4100 members in the United States and abroad,
and 51 regional chapters, 10 of which are outside the US. The purpose
of the Society is to advance the science and practice of fire protection
engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high ethical standard
among its members and to foster fire protection engineering education.
